The Stations of Easter have been used for centuries
as a center point of meditation, prayer, and focus in some religions. Many denominations use the stations before Easter (the sufferings of crucifixion) and of more recent times the Post Easter (Resurrection). Post Easter also known as "Via Lucis" or "Stations of the Resurrection," is a devotional practice that focuses on the events following Jesus' resurrection, offering a counterpart to the Stations of the Cross.
The purpose of the Stations at CHC is so we can prayerfully seek a time of Biblical-based meditation.
Allow the pictures to aid in the “mind's eye” activity as you further mediate and imagine Jesus's wonders.
The Stations of Jesus document His time before entering Jerusalem, through the cross to the eventual empty tomb and resurrection. The stations may be done individually or in a group and are particularly important to the event of Easter.
