Our Pastors

Senior Pastor Craig Lawlis

Craig and his wife Eunice are Amarillo natives who have been a part of CHC for almost 30 years.  As a Bi-Vocational Minister, Craig has been the Medical Transportation Regional Manager with LeFleur Transportation for 11 years.  They have been a part of ministry in several different areas of the church for the last 20 years.  He has also been the Secretary and Treasurer of the Great Plains Conference Board for more than 22 years. Craig has obtained his biblical teaching skills through dedicated home studies, and attendance in the GPC School of Ministry and has been an Ordained Minister with IPHC for 19 years. His wife Eunice is the leader of the women's ministry at CHC, Belonging, co-leads the middle school class on Wednesday nights, and is a part of the worship team.

Together they have two children Matthew and Megan, whom are both serving the Lord while continuing their life skills and career pursuit. The Lawlis family loves mission work, helping plant churches locally, in Mexico and have even participated in Ride to the Wall in Israel.

Craig is currently the primary teaching elder at CHC, faithfully leading the adult bible study on Wednesday nights for 20+ years.  He loves to see others find their full potential and rise to a new level of service in their lives.

"You should always desire to see others achieve their maximum, while serving God and the Kingdom of Heaven"

Discipleship Pastor Jake Bunn

Originally from Goldsboro, NC, Jake and Chelsea both attended Emmanuel College in Georgia, where they received a bachelors degree along with practical training. One week after their graduation, the couple was married. Shortly after, they helped lead the first Free Camp in Columbus, GA, where they would find their calling and the start of their journey in ministry. It was at this point the Lord led them to move to Amarillo, TX and work from CHC as the International FreeCamp Directors.

Jake is a bi-vocational minister also working for Lefleur Transportation, and working in various capacities within the Great Plains Conference(GPC)  of the IPHC. At CHC, Jake coordinates the discipleship department for the 0-18 year old. He specifically leads the k-5th group on Sunday mornings and CORK, the Wednesdays night children's service. He is committed to carry out the mandate  "to make disciples" and biblically realizes this starts in the home (Deuteronomy 6).

Chelsea, also a bi-vocatioal minister, works with CHC, GPC and M-25. She has also established a dance ministry for girls ages 13 and up, called GraceFull 1015. She has helped integrate dance into special holiday programs such as Easter and Christmas, and looking forward to expanding the dance worship into Sunday morning services in the future. Chelsea also helps with the Wednesday and Sunday nursery, but is kept busy full time keeping Jake in line!

Worship Pastor Greg Sanderson

Greg and Brandi Sanderson both Amarillo natives, have spent their lives here from going to school, working, and now building a family.  22 years ago the couple were married and shortly after had 2 children, Madeline and Jaysen, and adopted another, Shelby.   The family has been a part of Christian Heritage Church for 21 years.  They are both bi-vocational working full time jobs outside the church.  Greg began leading praise and worship 10 years ago, after playing guitar as part of the worship team. His family followed in his footsteps with Madeline learning guitar from him, Jaysen taking piano lessons, and Shelby learning percussion. Greg, Jaysen, and Shelby are all currently a part of the worship team at CHC.  Madeline also played on the worship team until moving for college, where she now is engaged and a part of a traveling worship team for the IPHC.
